The Bellmawr Police Department is staffed by 23 full time dedicated officers that patrol the borough and respond to calls for service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, two officers are assigned to the Detective Bureau to follow up and investigate crimes.
When you place a call for service it is answered at the Camden County Communications Center in Lindenwold NJ where they will take your information and then assign the call to one of the officers on-duty.
The Bellmawr Police Department has been proudly and professionally serving the residents and businesses of Bellmawr since 1926 when the town was incorporated.
Bring forms to Bellmawr Police Department with proper fees and identification. You will be assigned a case number and be given Form 212A for previous applicants if needed. Then, you will have to make arrangement to be fingerprinted at Morpho Trak and give them the case number obtained when scheduling your appointment. Once reference letters are returned, investigation is completed and notification is received from State Police that no criminal records exists. The permits/ID will be issued or denied.
