The Bellmawr DPW streets department is actively plowing our roadways. Please help them to clear the roads curb to curb by parking in your driveway. We remind all residents of the Snow Emergency Routes Established as listed below. We also ask that if you use a snow blower or when shoveling not to throw the snow onto the plowed roadway. We thank you for your cooperation.

§ 440-22 Designation of snow emergency no-parking areas; removal of vehicles.

A.    Whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the streets or highways, an emergency shall be deemed to exist for a period of six hours after snow fall has ceased, and no vehicle shall be parked on the streets or highways or portions thereof as provided in Schedule XIX (§ 440-43).

B.    Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic, and any police officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.

§ 440-43 Schedule XIX: Snow Emergency No-Parking Areas.

In accordance with the provisions of § 440-22, no person shall park a vehicle upon either side of any of the streets or parts thereof listed below, whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the street or highway:
