Highway & Sanitation

This division of the Department of Public Works (DPW) is staffed by part time and full time employees who have wide ranging duties from trash and recycling collection to roadway repairs and maintenance. The division is also staffed with qualified and competent auto and equipment mechanics who are charged with the preventative maintenance and repairs to all of the boroughs vehicles and equipment.

Trash Collection & Street Issues

No refuse should be placed for collection on sidewalk prior to 6 pm of the day immediately preceding the day of collection, and no later than 6 am the day of collection.

Snow Emergency Routes

The Borough of Bellmawr has established Snow Emergency Routes to improve maneuverability during inclement weather. These routes have been designed by Bellmawr Police, Fire and Highway Departments and include the following streets, courts and parking areas:

Hazardous Waste

This program is sponsored by the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Items included are gasoline, kerosene, automotive and lawn care products, oil based paints and stains, batteries, pesticides/insecticides, and hazardous materials.

Violations

The Borough of Bellmawr practices a door hanger notice of violation that pertains to solid waste Ordinance 3:06-09 in an effort to promote communication between the Borough and homeowner.
